What is Resin?

Resin generally refers to a type of synthetic material.
In the world of hobby craft the term "resin" usually refers to two main types:

• UV-LED Resin

  This is also known as one-component resin. It's a clear liquid resin that cures when exposed to UV-LED light or sunlight. Simply pour the resin into a mold and cure it under a UV-LED light-your transparent piece will be ready in just a few minutes!

• Epoxy Resin

  This is often called two-component resin. By mixing a base with a hardener, the resin cures in about 24 hours. Since this type doesn't require a UV-LED light to set, you can use it with opaque or larger molds.

Types of Padico Resin

The resin we offer is UV-LED resin.
The "Sky Drop," "Sun Drop," "Moon Drop," and "Star Drop" series are uniquely designed, Japanese-made resins developed by our company specifically for crafting and hobby use by general consumers. Below are the key features of each resin.

• Mold

• Resin Colorant: Jewel Color

  This is the world' s first liquid dye created specifically for UV-LED resin, developed by our company.
  Since it' s a liquid, it blends smoothly with resin and creates vibrant colors.
  Odorless and easy to use̶the fine nozzle dispenses one drop at a time.
  You can adjust the intensity of the color by changing the amount you add, or mix different colorants together to create your own custom shades.

• Color Mixing Stick

  This mixing stick is designed for stirring resin during color blending. Created and developed by our team exclusively for resin, it' s perfect for mixing, scooping out colorants, removing bubbles, or pouring into detailed molds-one tool, many uses.

  Color Mixing Palette

  This palette is made for blending colors in resin. Fully designed and developed by our company as a resin-specific tool, it comes in four sizes-from mini (with a light-shielding case) to S, M, and L. After use, simply cure the resin and peel it off for easy cleanup.

  

  How to color resin

  Mix with a single color

  

  Put 1-2 drops of color into clear color resin.

  

  Mix it slowly and evenly with a stick.

  Mix with multi colors

  

  Put a drop of each color into resin.

  

  Mix it well until the marbling disappears.

  *Adding too much coloring agent may cause curing failure.

• Materials for Encapsulation

  With resin, you can create works by encasing your favorite materials in resin.
  However, avoid using anything with moisture or oil, and steer clear of materials that melt easily when exposed to heat.
  For example, if you want to use fresh flowers, make sure they' re thoroughly dried before adding them to your resin.

  Tips for sealing paper or masking tape

  If you put thin papers like copy paper or masking tape directly into resin, the resin may soak in, causing the colors to change or the patterns to become see-through. That' s when White Matte Seals come in handy.
  By applying a White Matte Seal to the back of your paper beforehand, you can prevent the resin from seeping in and keep your patterns and colors to show clearly.

How to Make 'Mineral-Inspired Earrings'

Looks just like a real mineral! Even beginners can easily craft these gemstone-inspired accessories.
We' ll be using the Tuflect Mold® [Mineral Series] to give your resin creations a stunning, sparkling finish.

   Pour Sun Drop Resin into a palette. Add a few drops of your preferred pigment to the resin.

   Mix thoroughly with a stick.

   Place the palette in a shading case and close the lid for 30 minutes to allow air bubbles to dissipate.

   Pour the resin into the lower half of the mold. Use a stick to gently guide the resin into the corners, ensuring it spreads evenly throughout.

   Pour clear resin into the upper half of the mold, filling it up to the top.

   Using tweezers, carefully insert the foot of a cranked eye pin and position it at the top edge of the mold.

   Cure the resin under a UV-LED lamp.

   Then, cure it again from the backside of the mold.

   After cooling down, gently push the cured piece out with your finger. Avoid pulling on the eye pin.

    Open a jump ring with a pair of nose pliers and thread it through the eye pin.

    Attach an earring part to the jump ring and close it securely.

    One earring is ready.
